Just saw that Witch is playing with Angel December 9 at The Whisky. If I lived in America I would go! Good luck with the show! Your fan Sergio in Spain

I was a roadie for Agent Steel in the late '80s. While going through some old metal-days stuff, I found two ticket stubs to Witch's May 4 & 5, 1984 concert at the Troubadour (complete with their logo hand-stamped on them). I had not heard of them in years and decided to see if they were still around. After numerous false hits for the new Witch band, I found this link. They were a great band and should have gone farther than they did. Thanks for keeping their info alive...
Good times and great memories

I'm not done. Those Pennsylvania hillbillies known as Poison were going nowhere fast with Matt on guitar, and asked Ronnie from Witch to join. Again I know this as fact. They were another band who COPIED Witch in attitude and energy outright. Lots of bands did. Sorry to rant but reading everything here brought bak a buch of memories, plus I've been reading too much dumb shit on the Faceshit metal sites by people whove never even stepped foot in So Cal. Im happy Guns, Poison, Warrant blah blah all made it big and had great careers, but Witch shouldve had the same. Going to bed now.

This site is amazing. Witch absolutely fucken ruled the So Cal metal scene 83 to 85 and there's no other way to look at it. I was there for all of it, and Witch packed every club wall to wall. Youve never seen so many hot chicks in one place than at a Witch show. And I know for an absolute fucken fact Axl saw Witch many times and loved them. He thought there image was kinda corny, but it was there enery and TOAL dedication to what they were doing that influenced him (that's right, INFLUENCED him). When GnR got back together a few years ago it flashed in my brain that Axl woukd ask Witch to open at least a few shows, throw them a bone from his distant past, but I guess not. Whatever. The fact remains in 1984 no band in So Cal coukd touch Witch, and it makes me happy that this site exists to bring a little bit of there magic to the future.

I was the guitar tech for Exciter in 1984, we never told any band that they could only use half the lights, if the club told us we could not use Pyro, then all the bands could not use it. As far as locking Exciter in the dressing room! DID Great show, all bands did awesome
